The town of Freising is almost 1300 years old and situated at the river Isar in the north of Munich. It is known for its University, its history and art history, which are to be seen and marvelled in the precious architectural monuments, especially on the Domberg. The Kardinal-Döpfner-Haus is a residence of the prince-bishops of the prince-bishopric Freising that exists for centuries. Surrounded by historical monuments of the Domberg of Freising, nowadays it acts as centre of learning and conference centre.
